Q: Do I get a blowdry after the head spa?

A: Not unless you book one! Brittny, our head spa technician does not offer blowdries. So, if you want or need one after your spa session, be sure to book one with one of our wonderful stylists or assistants!

Q: Can I do the head spa with locs?

A: Yes! We can service locs as long as they are maintained enough that your scalp is accessible for cleansing and conditioning (meaning your roots are relatively sectioned still). Unsure? Q: Is the head spa safe for vivid haircolor?

A: Not right away. We do not recommend having a head spa treatment while your color is fresh. There is a lot of cleansing and manipulation of the hair that takes place during an appointment that will almost certainly fade the color if it is super fresh. We advise coming when your color is almost due to be refreshed, and just that you keep in mind it may look slightly lighter leaving the service than when you arrived.

Q: Who is the head spa good for?

A: Everyone! Whether you just love relaxing and having your hair played with and head massaged, or you’re looking for relief from dryness or oil congestion, need help with hair loss or thinning, or you struggle with itching and irritation, the head spa is the perfect service for you!!

Q: Can men be seen in the head spa?

A: Yes! Anyone with a scalp can book a head spa service.

Q: Do you see children in the head spa?

A: Yes. While we do not have an age restriction in the spa, we do ask that you make sure your child is old enough to answer questions during their consultation and will be comfortable in the setting for the duration of their appointment. Parents are welcome to join us in the spa room if that helps!

Q: Can I receive a head spa with extensions?

A: Yes and no. We do not recommend doing a head spa service if you have tape in or k tip style extensions (any type that has glue or adhesive of any kind). It isn’t comfortable for you as the client, or for the technician to attempt deep cleansing around these types of extensions, and with deep conditioning for both the scalp and hair including the use of steam, there is a good chance your extensions could slip and it could decrease the longevity of your extension application.

Weft or sew in extensions should be okay, but it is important to bare in mind that without full access to your scalp, you may not receive the maximum benefit of the spa service.

We believe the best practice is to schedule your head spa appointment to coincide with a removal/reinstall of your extensions.

Let us take out your extensions then you enjoy the head spa while your extension hair is being prepped and then have a blowout and your reinstall afterwards.

Q: Can I get a haircut the same day as my spa treatment?

A: Absolutely! Please schedule your head spa first, and haircut second.

Q: Can I schedule color the same day as my head spa?

A: We don’t recommend it!

Here’s why; while there are some hair coloring services that could be okay when done the same day as a head spa service, as they are technically off scalp services (like foiling or balayage), there is still a higher risk for sensitivity when putting color of any kind on a freshly manipulated and exfoliated scalp. Since most lightening services require a gloss, and any root retouches or root to end colors would be applied to the scalp, the chances of you experiencing sensitivity or reaction to the color are higher, and we prefer to book separate days for these appointments.

Similarly, if you have color on your scalp prior to receiving the service, it could cause increased sensitivity to the service itself or the products used throughout the duration of it. Not to mention, it could cause the color to fade prematurely, and we want to protect your investment!

Q: Should I wash my hair before I come in?

A: No! There will be extensive and thorough cleansing during your head spa session, please refrain from manipulating your scalp before you come in.
